Rabbit care

This is just a small care sheet that will hopefully help people planning to get rabbits and those who already have them, I have two rabbits Male and Female but they are neutered.

Housing: I use a three foot long inside cage for winter use and a four foot long outside cage and run, as I have two and they live together and have lived together for a long time so they get together remember putting two completely new rabbits that haven't met each other before can result in them fighting though this is more seen in two males.

Feeding: Rabbits are Vegetarians you can get a commercial brand food though I warn you to check what is in it make sure that there are not many things that are high in sugar for these are considered treats, you can feed your Rabbit naturally but I recommend you use pellets I use the pellets bought from UFA or Co-op but you should ask what kind of Pellets the rabbit is used to you shouldn't make a drastic change in there food as this can be very stress full.

Bathing: Unless your rabbit is too sick to do this himself/herself or there is feces stuck to there bottom this is not necessary if it is get a tub of warm water and fill it up to your rabbits chest take a little bit of pet shampoo and put only a little bit on the rabbit this can be a very scary time for your rabbit so be gentle and speak softly to it use a plastic cup for rinsing and then dried off with a towel and keep in the towel until completely dried since you do not want a cold and wet rabbit on your hands.

Treats: My rabbits love Banana's though they are given once a day Strawberries Raspberry's and blueberries are safe for your rabbit to eat you can probably find more safe treats for your rabbit it should be half a banana for each rabbit you have the berries you can give two each depending on size.

this is just the basic care and knowledge enjoy.
